the brief

The Exchange Lab, a programmatic advertising specialist, traditionally has a large presence at the Festival of Marketing and this was no different for the 2018 event, which gathered top brand marketers at London’s Tobacco Dock. The company wished to create an environment that would be inviting, immersive and engaging. The room needed to support a clear business message targeting top marketers around ‘Taking control of your brand online, have all eyes on the digital marketplace ’ through their superior programmatic platform, Proteus. The Exchange Lab also wanted their environment to reflect a previous successful digital campaign which saw their technology brought to life in a drone asset.

A creative and bright environment that enhanced this unique room with its vaulted bricks- ceiling and glass walls. The bright coloured lightboxes and the bold messaging could be seen clearly from surrounding corridors maximising the exposure to passing traffic.

The challenge faced by the brand advertiser audience to take control and have all eyes on their brand online needed to be represented by an engagement piece that would be visible to all event attendees. Visitors were invited to fly and control a drone through a complex landscape made of different size towers and stunning, high-resolution cityscape photography and in doing so, were able to visualise, through action, the unique benefits of The Exchange Lab’s programmatic technology solution. The drone flying experience was managed by a professional and was both fun and educational – a great way to generate new business leads and engage with visitors.
